ANA GABRIELA CHÁVEZ C.
Ing. Ana Gabriela Chávez C., LEED Green Associate, es Ingeniera Civil graduada de la Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá. Posee una maestría en Desarrollo Sostenible, Energías Renovables y Agenda 21 del EUDE Business School de Madrid, España. Cuenta con un diplomado en Project Management basado en la metodología PMI realizado en la Universidad Latina de Panamá.
Realizó una pasantía como parte del Programa de Excelencia Académica (PEXA) de la Autoridad del Canal de Panamá, en la cual preparó informes de avances de obra de la ampliación del Canal, registro de la documentación de los trabajos de dragado en las áreas del proyecto, verificación y monitoreo de horas/personas de apoyo de prácticos para los equipos, y análisis de los avances y calidad de las batimetrías de control. Contribuyó con una investigación que consistió en el estudio y la aplicación del modelo de simulación HEC-ResSim al sistema de reservorios del Canal de Panamá.
Llevó a cabo trabajo de voluntariado en la organización “Ingenieros Sin Fronteras”, con el fin de rediseñar y mejorar el sistema de suministro de agua potable y la calidad de vida de la comunidad indígena Guna Nega.
Actualmente se desempeña como ingeniera civil en el Departamento de Obras Municipales de la Alcaldía de Panamá, donde realiza inspecciones a los proyectos de construcción para verificar que cumplan con la reglamentación municipal. Es miembro activo del Panama Green Building Council, el Colegio de Ingenieros Civiles de Panamá (COICI) y la Sociedad Panameña de Ingenieros y Arquitectos (SPIA).
Eng. Ana Gabriela Chavez C., LEED Green Associate, is a Civil Engineer graduated from the Technological University of Panama. Holds a Masters in Sustainable Development, Renewable Energy and Agenda 21 from EUDE Business School in Madrid, Spain. She has a diploma in Project Management based on PMI methodology, conducted in the Latin University of Panama.
Ana completed an internship as part of the Program for Academic Excellence (PEXA) of the Authority of the Panama Canal, where she prepared progress reports on the work of the Canal expansion, recorded documentation on dredging work in the project areas , verification and monitoring of hours / people practical support for the teams, and analysis of the progress and quality control of the bathymetry. She contributed an investigation that involved the study and application of the simulation model HEC-ResSim for the reservoir system at the Panama Canal.
Conducted volunteer work in the organization “Engineers Without Borders”, in order to redesign and improve the system of water supply and the quality of life of the indigenous community Guna Nega.
Currently she works as a civil engineer in the Department of Municipal Works of the Municipality of Panama, which performs inspections of construction projects to ensure they comply with the municipal regulations. Is an active member of the Panama Green Building Council, the College of Civil Engineers of Panama (COICI) and the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA).
